Joint Institute for Nuclear Research

The XVIII International Baldin Seminar on High Energy Physics Problems Relativistic Nuclear Physics and Quantum Chromodynamics, organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research will be held from September 25 to 30, 2006 in Dubna, Russia. The Seminar is devoted to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding scientist Academician A.M. Baldin (1926-2001). Among conferences that were organized by Alexander Michailovich of special importance is just this series of the International Seminars on High-Energy Physics Problems started in 1969 with M. A. Markov's support. They have been given an unofficial, somewhat witty, name Baldin autumn.

Important Deadlines

Seminar Topics

  • Quantum chromodynamics at large distances
  • Relativistic heavy ion collisions
